About

The Laboratory of Distributed Systems and Concurrent Programming (LASDPC), created in 1990, carries out research on technological solutions for building computational systems formed by the interaction of various subsystems across a network. As examples of distributed systems, there are web services, cloud computing, online computer games, peer-to-peer networks and architectures for parallel processing. The lab has produced results in the form of new techniques and methodologies, spreading through qualified scientific publications and coordinating scientific projects funded by various agencies for research funding. Lab members have organized scientific events and work-oriented undergraduate and graduate programs and is responsible for training of Masters and Doctors for academia and industry.
